I've got air as well and can fill up guys if needed.

Talked to a guy who lives in the area and he mowed his lawn this past weekend and says there isn't any snow left except maybe deep in the woods where the sun doesn't really get in to. So who knows but it might not be that boggy, at least not as bad as it was 6 weeks ago. I think someone was saying another group ventured through the same route as you are planning.

I think we should stick to the plan of meeting in Bragg Creek at 7 and heading out on the 22 from there for an awesome scenic trip south. If we stick to a good pace of 110 kmph - we'll make good time...

I was checking out some of the highway cams in the area and nope doesn't seem to be much snow left... never know once you hit the trails as conditions can change pretty fast but thinking that another 2 weeks without snow and it's gonna be pretty dry in most places!

so dudes

ive done as much research on this area as possible

unfortunatly folks from blairmore are trying to get this area shut down due to irresponsible offroading.

.there tons of cool historical sites beautiful scenery and i just wanted to remind everyone that we must be on our best of best behavior. if we see trash lets pick it up.

also we must stay on trail at all times if we are lucky enough to find this ghost town we must walk to the area i guess its a little bit of a walk sorry guys

these things are the reason the locals want this area shut down. i guess a group took the quads and drove within feet into this plane crash site. how disgusting that is. 7 people died at this site in 1946 and were apart of the canadian royal airforce. lets keep that in mind and help protect the memories of these men that died here

not very many people wheel here but as we all know 1 irresponsible group can ruin it for everyone else.

ok so trails

the ghost town would be amazing to see but wow thats 94.75km of offroad trails- hate to say it but too long.. group of quads took 11hrs

so heres the trails i found

lile trail(ghost town)94.75km

trail of seven bridges(steep climbs)8.75km

daisy creek(easy nice veiws)36.59km

airplane crash site 9.14km

does anyone know how to get to the ghost town.

i cant seem to find anything. no one seems to know how to get past the old town of lile

I've got some detailed maps for the trail heads posted in the Alpha section, including roughly where this ghost town is supposed to be.

Because of the concerns around the off-roading in this area (basically if it gets out to the mainstream off-roading guys it will get shut down) I didn't come out and post them up in the open forum areas. I will pass them along to Dave.

My understanding is we need to walk in a bit to the plane crash site; the ghost town has a main road that cuts through the middle. Most of the town is gone at this point, lots of rubble is left. These two trails are quite a distance from one another, and I beleive the plane crash is probably still under a lot of snow right now because of it's higher elevation.

People were off-roading on the rubble according to some reports <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I think that hits it on the head that we will have to ensure we stick to the trails and also do a little clean-up along the way to the locals know that the Hummer clubs different that the rest and upholds a certain level of responsibility that most other offroaders do not..

Again, if time will be an issue... We can do half the trail as per that map and we should be fine...

So dudes! What's the plan for meet up on Saturday? I wouldn't mind splitting the difference and meeting at 6:30 in Canmore, just to make it an easy roll out at 7 since obviously we tend to talk too much. Image

That'd put us right on time to meet nitrous in Blairmore at 10 and probably a touch early (it's the polite thing to do). Image

4 more days!! Can't wait!!!

We gotta get Bmszondi out too... C'mon dude good times this Saturday!!

As of today it's loooking pretty good for me to be on this run!! I'm stoked and looking forward to riding with y'all again <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

If you leave BG at 7 you'll easily make Bmore in 2.5 hours. Can you guys stop at the Tim's just past the golf course and before Bmore? I'll be waiting there <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/c-n.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':coffeenose:' />
