Just wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a road trip to the "Polar Bear capital" of the world; Churchill, Manitoba this year?
doing some research online and October/November is the time to do it.
I'm looking at do in part because I can and also because the kids (young and old) are sure to have a great time and meet the coolest members of the bear family <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />
here are some of the links I found;
http://www.churchill.worldweb.com/
http://www.churchill.ca/travel-and-accomodations/hotels
I tried to Google map the directions but it cant do it... WTF! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':blink:' />
anyway, just a thought for what would be the coolest road trip I think our club could ever do

Just because I drive a HUMMER don't mean I don't care about the planet.... in fact it means I can get to most parts without any help!

Apparently, it is not a option for us in Ontario.... like you said, Google can't plot a path, so that means it can't be done! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />
Just did some Googling, turns out Google is right after all.... you CAN'T drive to Churchill! Plane or Train is the only way. Even that sounds like a hell of a trip. Follow the link below, and scroll down to the comments section.

There has to be a way!! and besides, we drive Hummers...... aint a lot that could stop us along the way <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />
doing the flight or train just wont cut it...... theres no point in being just another tourist <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /angry.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> we follow the tracks <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... SMILEY.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> or make our own.
If we can put a man on the moon then we can drive to Churchill!
