That is pretty much how I learned as well.... doing thing the wrong way ensures you do them the righ way later on.

haha, I can still remember installing some springs on my last car...

"Ok, so it says here to support the lugs.... what lugs? why? This is stupid"

*clunk* (noise that the CV makes when popping inside the boot as the wheel assemply leans forward)

"Oh crap!!!!"

Let me know if you are headed back to the pass and I'll meet up with you if you want to do a little wheeling.

An Iltis is on my 'get' list. I'd LOVE one. I'm not sure they're any good off road though. Are they?

originally made by volkswagon and then switched over to Bombardier..... i LOVE these things too...

Actually they are surprising good off road... biggest restriction are the small tires but they do have alot going for them... i looked around for one a few years ago but couldnt find one... they are very hard to get.

also expensive as parts are rare...

ive had my eye open for a Ferret Scout car... that would be a dream come true...

sooo many wants.... just not enough money.

disneyworld in the spring is the current focus.....

I don't know much about them, but he seems to think they are the bee's knee's off-road from his experience with them in the military. The one he got was apparently a run around for generals in a previous life and even has the little flag holders. He figures the 40K on it is original, so if that is the case it should hold up for a while. He also found a ton of extra parts for it.
