OMG! Finally got to the honey... Al's totally blows all others I've ever had away. This is incredible!! But maybe this is why Grocery Store Honey Isn’t Actually Honey <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Until now, I always thought Honey was more or less the same, some better then others, but not by much.... that was until now. Well done Al!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Very good article! And dead bang on as far as I'm concerned. The Chinese have been smuggling in ultra filtered honey through third party countries for far too long. They dump it in the North American market wayyy, wayyyyy below what we would would consider fair market value and it may also be tainted with antibiotics that have been banned in most countries. The reason they ultra filter it is because you can identify a honeys country of origin by the floral pollen in the honey. Case in point is that there are some countries out there that were net importers of honey suddenly exporting large amounts of honey. If that honey was analysed you would find a floral source from crops grown in China but not in that country, or you would if it hadn't been ultra filtered. Also, now it is that much easier to add cheap syrup to grocery store honey too! Buy local! (Or from AL!!)

I'm not sure if I can get local honey here... maybe at our farmers market, but that would mean getting up on a Saturday morning, and well..... ya know. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... lleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
