straightpipe.
in all seriousness - a set of long tube headers will likely give you the "muscle car" sound you are after.

Re: Louder exhaust sound
the magnaflow "kit" thatnis designed for the rigs is rather quiet, i found that out when i did it on my H3 alpha, so on my h2 i just had the high flow muffler installed but i also replaced the stock cats with aftermarket performance ones..
after that.... it was LOUD! too loud actually, i had to put a resinator on as well and now i have the perfect sound. so start with the cats first as stock are quite restrictive and see how that goes...

Cut outs....... Only way to play. then you can have bearable when you need it and rampage mode when you reallly need it <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
Ive got long tube headders, dual 3 inch with flowmasters and its loud but nothing compared to my pops 51 merc with straight pipes..... only way to get that rumble is to remove the computer and go carb (joke) or cutouts. you could mess around with blue bottles and all that teen stuff but its a hummer.... keep it classy
