One stumbling block is the OBD systems might have to be CAN Protocol to meet new car entry standards so any older J protocols would not pass for a new vehicle. May require airbags, up to date CAT converter and CMVSS tags everywhere on approved imported and registered parts. Generally moving the way of California.
Not to mention emmisions evaluations at the new standards.
It may well be that the only effective way to get a truck is to buy one of the 10,775 trucks already made put some DRL's and an alarm system on it and bring it in strip it and then buy a bunch of repair parts from HPG. Kinda like what we do now!!!
