truck dead....

Post by thedub »

Hi Guys and Gals,

My H2 has died in the driveway. I checked the battery and it is all good but when I try to turn it over all I get is a click, click, click noise that seems to be coming from the speakers and under the drivers seat... I am at a loss as to what is causing it.

Any ideas please???

(need it fixed ASAP as the dogs are not allowed in the wifes car!!)

You have not been offroad until you've had a HUMMER in the woods.

Try putting it into neutral and trying to start. same result?

check battery connections, try a boost, then suspect a starter.

So , time to replace truck with an H1. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Ok, Sooooooooooooo my buddy next door had the same problem yesterday as well..... so I checked his battery and it was good... long story short my battery tester is now in the reverend whats him names back yard (at least that the direction I threw it!) across the street.. and I went out and bought a new battery and all is good <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

My doggies are now happy again that we can go out (and yes Roy, they are like my kids..... in fact I like them more <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Cheers folks <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

proper voltage does not mean your battery is good,it needs to be cheched for cranking amps.Best way I know is to hook up to an alternate battery source with booster cables after having uncabled the suspect battery.
