Daytime Running Lights

Post by Nuzguy »

Good Morning,

I am installing daytime running lights in the H1 I just drove from Houston to Vancouver. Can anyone tell me which wires are which at the back of the headlight? I have found high beam but I need to indentify the low beam and common.

thanks

Normally the wires are spliced under the dash at the steering column. Did you buy the Canadian Tire DRL adapter. It is the easiest to install and fairly cheap.

On the steering column, near the bottom, you will find a switch that controls high/low beam.Probe the wires for power when the low beams are on. Tan wire, Aux power lead.. on the fuse box by your knees, there is power leads you can plug into, do not forfget to put a fuse in.

At the headlight, black is ground, tan is low and red is high.Colours according to the book .

you can always pull the wires off the back of the headlight pod and varify.
