Re: Hello out there!
Hey DCURR, welcome to the club..........I love my H2 a lot......
Thanks for your reply about the DRL lights, but since you work at a GM delaership, do you have any info if it is possible to replace the whole DRL lights and housing and replacing it with a new fog light assembly.
I share your thoughts on the Hummer haters......I just don't understand why some people are so narrow minded.
if they think that Hummer is a gas guzzler, how about like Ford Super Duty, Chevy Suburban, Ford Excursion, Infiniti QX56, they also drink a lot of gas.
But then again, the reason that we all love our Hummers..........because it is truly Like Nothing Else... <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

Re: Hello out there!
Hey guys don't worry about the haters out there they are all media sheep!!!
Just remember to smile as you walk away and get in your HUMMER!!
I remember going out for breakfast one morning my Hummer was parked rite out front of restaurant a couple comes in and sits beside me in another booth, they are rambling on about the big Hummer out in the parking lot I look over and they smile at me and involve me in their conversation.
I would like to point out to you that those of you that don't know me I live in a town of 30000 and everybody knows everybody in some way shape or form!!! Also I'm a huge smartass!!!!!
So they asks me if I saw the big Hummer out there and I said "yes I did and said it didn't look all that big" You could seee the whites of their eye's I said "I drive a Dodge Ram with a Hemi"
now they don't know which way to go here now so I says to them "I don't get that bad of milage it all depends how we drive it"
By this time we have gotten comfortable talking and I says what do you guys drive they tell me and believe it or not kept a straight face doge caravan they say. Now this couple had to be in the 50's.
So I ask them what kinda milage do you get with that the guy pipes up "Costs me about 90 bucks to fill it and I get just over 500 km" proud as proud can be he said that I replied to him "My Dodge gets almost the same from empty costs 100 to fill and I get anywhere from 550-600km a tank"
His eye's opened rite up "There is no way!!!!" I said to him "if I keep rpm and speed down I get 600km to the tank if I drive it like I stole it about 550" after explaining it to them a bit further he seen the light and understood.
So here is the best part we get up to pay for the meals and start walking out were in the parking lot beside the Big Hummer and they are eyeing it up I says to them "did you wonder how much fuel this big guys burns?"
The old fella goes "It's pig on fuel no matter what!!!"
I put on my coat at this point my HUMMER COAT and said "NO I get about the same as the Dodge!!!!" and drove away god I love people!!!!
Cheers
John
