Usually on drivers side in the hood track it's a plunger switch.

the h3's have aproblem with the drivers door harness plug it gets water in it and corrodes. it can cut out speakers, stop windows working, and stop the door locksignal to the body controll module making the key faub useless. open the drivers door all the way, the harness plugs into the door pull the release leaver , up or down i dont remember to release the conector. take a good look at both sides of connector. you should see green corrosion. spray out both sides with contact cleaner or brake clean, give it a second to dry then plug her back in and try your faub again.

Fob could also have a dirty or worn rubber button pad. Try cleaning it with contact cleaner from an electronics store or a pad with alcohol (rubbing). To test open case and touch contacts on circuit board and see if truck responds. Replacement pads and cases are available on E-Bay or from places like Adventure 4x4 (Lynch Hummer). I'm ordering cases for our H3 (fancy ones at 25 bucks American).

P.S this is also a problem with remotes that use these touch pads.
