H1 Trucks for movies

I am not sure how you feel about this but I have been getting a lot of requests lately for H1s in different areas of the countries for movie shoots, videos, commercials, print ads, etc..we have done a few lately but they are always looking..I would like to ask is anyone would like to be referred if someone asking for a truck in your area, let me know..we have trucks coast to coast and if our members can make a bit of extra "repair" money.. I figure then why not...



If you are interested, email me the details about your truck, year, model, color, bling or military or offroadish, and a few recent photos as well as the area that you would be willing to travel to.



The price always differs depending on what it is used.. hard to say but we could all band together and come up with a standard price model too...



anyways, just an idea I am throwing out there.. mostly I get asked in the Montreal and Toronto area but I have also been asked in London, ON, and out west too...

I'm in Belleville Ontario if the offer is fair then I could do a movie 2.5 hour drive to Toronto and 5 hours to Montreal. 1996 H1 Wagon.

If you rent your truck you will most likely be breaking the rules of your insurance policy. Unless your insurance allows you to use for vehicle for business activities, not getting to and from work, you are not insured if driving the vehicle while your being paid to do so. Same applies for weddings, grads etc. Ok to do it for free but once you are paid for it it's a different matter.



The way around all of this is to get the film production company to cover you/your vehicle.

Usually while you are on the set, you make sure you are covered under the production's insurance..this wll make it all legal, I believe..

I know this was an old post, but my 96 slantback is available. This truck was actually used a number of times in the original tv series "Nikita", when it filmed in Toronto. A word to the wise....make sure you have the contract in hand before you let the truck go on the flatbed. I had a tentative deal for a shoot in Downsview, but two days before they called and wanted to confirm if they could come pick up the truck on the day they wanted it. I told them I needed to see the contract first, and it would be no problem. They said they would send it with the flatbed. RED FLAG !!! I asked them to email it to me, they promised but it never came. The day before they wanted it I asked again, and they cancelled. I think I got the better end of that deal. BTW, this was for a major US production company, who apparently farmed out the vehicle sourcing to a newbie.
