for the recall the only thing they do is glued the louver to the hood, because apparently it could fly off.
if its a recall, GM dealer should do it no problem.
if a gm dealer wont do it, 1 way to remedy that easily would be to put handle on it bolted down. The other way is to take it out, a bit tricky to unsnap but doable, put some good adhesive ( on mine the mechanic applied 3 lines of some sort of silicon adhesive ) and re-seat the louver down on the hood )

Yup just got home with it an hour ago... It is sweet! They had some work to do on it for cert and they replaced the rad, spark plugs, tranny pan gasket and a couple of other minor things. My kids were so excited to go for their first ride! LoL all in all I'm a happy guy and very happy to be an official member of CHC!!!!!

Re: H2 - Shopping...need some advice (noob)
Ok my elation is quickly turning to dread!
Check Engine light came on during a drive to London today. I took a closer look at the work order from the dealer and one of the repair items was a code P0300 " Engine Misfire Present" for which they changed the spark pugs, cleared the code and rechecked and stated it "did not return" on the work order.
From what I have read this is more than likely a worn valve seal problem common to the H3. I have emailed the dealer to inquire how they intend on fixing this issue. I didn't opt for the extended warranty however they did say any issue within 30 days they would repair. I anticipate this will not be the case if it turns out to be a worn valve seal.
And the nightmare begins....any suggestions on what they should be testing to diagnose this typically expensive problem correctly?

Well I'm hoping they honor their promise. From what I can gather the P0300 code can have serveral causes and cures the worst if which is valve seal replacement...the best being water in the fuel lines. They have already replaced the spark plugs so that apparently isn't the cure.I hope the issue can be resolved before the 30 day limit
Next step would probably be to check which cylinder is the problem and try switching out the ignition coil... Read that this solved the issue for another H3 owner.
This should get interesting.....

With the modern computer diagnostic equipment and a knowledgable technician they should be able to clearly see where the misfire is. A cylinder pressure test should tell if it is a value seal. Could also be a bad injector, plug wire or coil. They should be able to get it fixed right. Them replacing the spark plug and clearing the code and saying it didn't come back just means they didn't test it properly, and were hoping for the quick fix. Bad on them.
