All this talk about autocross is really making me nostalgic for my old Skyline, RB26 powered, 6 speed, R32 sedan.

More importantly, I MISS MY TRUCK! Got the call it was finished, picked it up took it around the block and came back, airbag light was on. Mechanic forgot to program the airbag control module, he programmed it and it was still throwing a "low resistance" code. They have to rip it apart and find the cause as it could cause another spontaneous deployment. Day 52......and counting

Nice. There is a pretty good group of guys that autocross here in Lethbridge. I'm going to have to take part next summer I think. See what the Subaru STI can do. Also going to try to get them to let me take my old racing Kart out for a blast every once in a while. I miss Kart racing.

Track days are rare since Race City got plowed under.....  but I'm sure looking forward to my track day this Saturday at Castrol.  It's been a couple of months sinced I've raced and even longer since my last track day.  I spent 2 weeks wheeling in Moab, New Mexico and Colorado so that sure helped pass the time!

We sold our RX-7 Chump Car(s) and have purchased a Mustang.  We're building it up right now.  We're hoping to do at least 4 events next year - Plus I'm hoping to once again run the Texas Mile in the spring.  I did have an offer to make a single run in an 1100hp Mustang next weekend at the fall Texas Mile but it's just too far to go for just one run.  Almost worth it, but not quite.

Yeah dude, this sucks... you are coming up on 2 months now without your truck. Totally unacceptable that they didn't fix it properly yet.

haha, I just talked to my insurance agent and they want me to do a safety inspection on that car before it gets the green light for insurance. I am not very confident is is going to pass one, haha.

Oh I know! Do I dare add to the fact that my pride and joy, potential magazine cover-previously mentioned Purple R32 Skyline sedan was T-boned on an overpass and rolled OFF the overpass onto the whitemud in Edmonton the summer of 2007? That was a hell of a ride! I then bought an '07 C.C.L.B White on tan leather Duramax from a repo auction, that was built to 700hp, and THE DAY I drove it home from the shop that installed a "bulletproof" Allison 6spd trans, I was T-boned so hard that the frame bent, and broke the housing for the transmission making the truck a complete right off.

The phrase "If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all" SHOULD be tattooed across my forehead at this point.

-Good news though, supposedly one of the seatbelt retractors showed up and was installed with a bad harness, new harness needs to be spliced in but should be done and back by noon tomorrow. Although I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm familiar, and somewhat involved, with both track proposals.

It's a long story.....  The short version is that I expect to be on track in Southern Alberta in 2015.  Maybe even at 2 different tracks!

I'm looking forward to a track day at Castrol tomorrow.  Taking the ACR up - it should be good.

After crawling around Moab, New Mexico and Colorado it'll be nice to really get my speed mojo going!

Hey Greg,

Small world... I had the pleasure of meeting Paul Mooney last weekend and spent quite a bit of time touring his garages looking at his vehicles. He has a few beautiful jeeps and variances let alone 2 finished Iltis's in the front.

What took me there is he is working on a Ferret which I have been wanting for years...

He remembered you as I went in the Hummer and he mentioned he sold an Iltis to a gentleman with a beautiful machine so sounds a lot like it was you...

Small world eh? ( lol - if it is the same guy...)
