How to reset Hummer H3 ride height....

Post by AllenAventador »

I just recieved my Truxada front leveling keys. to level the front of my H3 Alpha with the back. (also i dont want a lift kit as i never liked putting lift kits on trucks without a front axle installed) in the instructions it tells me to reset the Hummer H3 ride height after the installation (i dont know how to do that i would appreciate your help here guys i dont want any premature wear on my front suspension joints ) and second must i do the alignment right after or after i have bought the new 35inch iroc ND tires for it (they will arrive in the next two weeks) ?

these are the links guys ( <a href="http://www.gstyle4u.com/.sc/ms/dd/H3%20 ... 6%20H3T</a>)
thank you in advance..

I would do the alignment after you put the new tyres on. As for re-setting the ride height I can't help you there.  Hopefully another H3 owner can chime in.

Your level will be fine tuned by the torsion adjusment. Lots of stuff on the net for this. Don't go over 24.25 inch front center hub to fender lip. Put your half shafts on a bad angle and premature failure may acure. Plus it will bouncy way to much. The keys should put you close to 24. Good luck and just check here or the net for more info.

It is really easy to do. Make sure you have the front wheels off the ground on jack stands! I would also recommend spraying the current adjustment bolts with penetrating oil and letting the soak for a bit as they will be corroded.  You can raise it to 24" ride height without any leveling kit.

Rhino has a Superlift leveling kit (keys) installed as with any changes to front end or rear springs it is advisable to have an alignment done. In Toronto Just alignments is about 85 bucks (located on Milvan Dr)
