H3 Alpha LH8 vs standard 5.3 liter silverado engine...

So guys i have been reading a lot about all these upgrades for the 5.3 liter engine and if any of them at all would fit on the LH8 (H3 Alpha) motor. case in point this<a href="http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/f ... erview/</a> i want to purchase one but i dont know if it will fit.. (it does say it will fit 4.8,5.3 and 6.0) but since the Alpha is the detuned version of the normal silverado engine..will that part fit? the reason i m asking is that because i installed a new jetson throttle body spacer and i saw hideousness that is the intake manifold on the truck...i think this is why the engine needed an oversized cover

any advice would be great, and i m sorry if i m asking too much, i have now the time to work on my beloved truck and i dont want to make any mistakes. [/size]

The basic engine is the same block as all the 5.3 l silverado / avalanche engines with a few changes i.e. the 08 H3 uses a direct drive clutched fan, the silerado uses an electric fan for cooling. I know the Silverado superchargers do fit the H3. If you live in the GTA /Hamilton area may I suggest you attend the GM Power Train show in St.Catherines the first friday in Aug. They built the 5.3 and are a really great source of info on the engines ( they give plant tours and also have a demo table with cut away engine parts and techs to explain them.)

Thank you so much! I will attend it next year, and thanks or the advice I will upgrade the intake manifold. My question is will I need to get new injectors?

Just remembered we posted in mechanics section a throttle body cleaning with pics of Rhino's block (5.3 l ) and eaton was at the power train show atleast once.

Thought you might like this, mild to wild 5.3 liter builds from Truckin' magazine. These are the LM7 5.3 out of the 1500 Pickups but I can't see a whole lot of difference between those and the LH8
