Rubicon would be nice, at least there is rediculous amounts of aftermarket support for it

BTW, your name is no longer Hummer Dave.... it is Tiny Dave, or just Tiny for short :photo:

Where did you end up going?
[/quote]
We went in Lost Knife.  At the Meadow a truck broke a drive shaft and had a wheel locked up so that kinda slowed things down from there.  Most of us went to 4 corners then out.  3 trucks went back out Lost Knife pulling the truck with a locked up wheel.  It turns out something in the brakes was the root cause.  Freak thing - especially for a Toyota.

Anyway, it was a good day.

I think there were 11 Toyota's and me......

That is odd for a toyota....

So been keeping an eye out and man... trying to find an actual Rubicon so I have most of the options I need is like a needle in a hay stack for one that is in good condition and isnt over priced.....

I miss the trails and I don't think my Sahara would be all that great in the deep snow.....

Well that sucks Dave. But I understand being in vehicle frustration land.

I'm there right now.

I lost a rod bearing on my Subaru 10 days out of warranty.

Hop in the Hummer and I have a rear brake caliper seized. Replace that, luckily had a caliper already on the work bench and it was even the right side.

Subaru is looking into good will but best case I get the car back in a month.

Today the Hummer decides it no longer likes having power steering fluid inside the pump and decides that it would rather puke it out the fill cap moments after the engine is shut off.

Of course both Hummer issues don't surface before worm weather it's the night before the temp drops to -25, or like today starts to snow when I'm trying to locate the problem, with several -10 days coming up.

So I understand the frustrations, I'll probably be very receptive to trades right about now.

Owning a Hummer (or really any vehicle) can have frustrating moments. I just deal with the issues as best I can and move on.
Be strong, carry on!
The good outweighs the bad.
Probably.

LOL, yeah it can be a huge pain sometimes... I've had my moments, I suspect Gary hasn't been out recently for the same reason

If there is one absolute, it is that any 4x4 that actually sees use is going to experience issues. Hummer just costs a bit more, lol. Mine has been pretty good going on 3 years now, I've just been more gentle with it

Actually I just had to replace my transfer case ..was having some issues , so bought one brand new from GM with a 3 year warranty ...but other then that my trucks been good . Ive just got some big purchases planned for this summer and Ive been working as much as I can and like you said Nick our trucks are expensive to fix so unfortunately I cant chance breaking my rig for fear of a big fat bill  ..trust me i miss wheeling and getting muddy and chilling with you guys and wont be long before Im back out ..but seeing how some of you guys have or are talking about getting rid of your hummers , eventually it might be only a few of us left lol hope not ,  b/c my trucks not going anywhere . Ive put to much time and energy and of course money into her to ever sell her . Plus Ive build my rig the way I wanted it to look , its very personalized ...be hard to find buyers in todays hipster era lol so Im stuck with it , which is fine by me ...cause I still enjoy the hell out of driving it , even though I havent washed it in like a year lol. Wont lie fella's she needs some TLC when it comes to looking cleaned up ..but at least when its dirty and rusty people give me the thumbs up instead of the middle finger lol . This summer I have lots of mods that i have to get done that Ive been putting off long enough ....still got big plans for my rig . Sorry to hear you had to sell your rig Dave , but at least  you got some good use out of it.. drove it like it was meant to be driven and you do have the jeep , so you wont go threw wheeling withdrawals .
Lifted , locked and ready to rock!

Sorry.... Been pre- occupied lately...

Finally found an 06 rubicon that I'm going to go look at tomorrow.... Need those front and rear lockers and those Dana 44 are bullet proof almost as long as you don't go above 35-37" tires... I'm going with 295/70 17's.. As the off sized are much less... So 34.5 instead of 35...

Gotta get back in da bush!!!
