Rancho shocks

Consider Monroe Max Air shocks for the rear... they are excellent for trailoring heavy loads, easily adjustable, can lift or lower, and insanely durable. I ran them in my Jeep Cherokee simply because they were so durable and affordable, plus then I could lift it 2" by just increasing the air pressue. It also was very useful when I was helping a friend move 1000kms and we packed it to the roof. I also ran them in my Honda Fit for autocross, I could adjust them to max pressure and get rediculously rigid shocks, then adjust them back when I went off the track.

You know I was just looking at the specs for the 9000s, I think they will be my next rear shocks!!! 2.75 tubes with 18mm rods, That's Huge!!!
 
Up front I run air shocks so unless Rancho starts making those I will need to keep my current set-up!

Guys i was just reading about front end nose dive and that i will need bump stomps. (apparently the shocks wont be enough). any opinion on this polar?

Even with my ARB bumper I don't run lengthened bumpstops, hardly any nose dive in my '09 Alpha T, once I add a winch it might be a possibilty but hopefully long term I can upgrade to air bump stops over the poly/foam ones stock.

On my H2, I left the factory front bumpstops as is. In the rear I welded in a piece of 2x4 1/4" wall rectangular tubing to compensate for the difference. In the Rear it helps me to be way more stable than it was without and in the front it allows a little more flex which is good!
 
I would simply suggest one to two turns up on the torsion bars and you should be good!
 
If you are tapping the bumps stops every time you brake I think you need to replace your torsion bars!

I have the same hummer as you. Last October I cranked my torsion bar, added the Rancho shocks and 35 inch mud tires. nothing more and no problems yet. However, still waiting to test it on the trail.
