Looks like a good time!

BTM needs more brake pressure, not more speed. Unless you like replacing half shafts.

I wish I could've been there.

We had a ball!!!!  I know I'm the mushy one but it's just great to be out there with Friends.... I really didn't want to roll with the Jeepers and now I'm going to remove my account when I make that post about one of them...  You hate to blame the club.... but you can't help but do blame them as one guy stole the pin... but everyone else watched!!!  Were they hoping the grill would come off??... hard to say what was going through their minds... SLIMY!

I don't roll with anyone like that... without trail honor you have nothing...

Hoping for a September long weekend run down to Coleman to do the Plane Crash trail as I have yet to see it myself, and the pictures look incredible!

I thought I was already giving it a lot of brake pressure, but maybe not, needs more practice I think, worked fine after dropping it to low.

Im a bit peeved off to be honest, first the pin gets taken, then some charming individual decided to egg the side of the H2 saturday night and now I think my card from my camera is f*cked, was working fine when it was in the truck before bringing it in the house, brought it in and put it in a card reader and the computer wouldnt read it, everything would lock up when trying to access it, put it back in the camera and it does the same, brilliant! going to take it to work tomorrow and see if its any better there on a different reader.

Your truck got egged? Shitty deal dude!!

Post the video if you can recover it, I will put it up on CJA and see if anybody knows who it is. I know a lot of the Jeep community, and for the most part everybody is respectful of other peoples vehicles no matter what you drive.

From the August 2nd run posting it looks like it was a bunch of newbs, I know if somebody from our club was screwing with other Jeeps on the trail I'd want to know who it was and distance myself from them. I'd imagine they feel the same.

The egging must of just been something random, only got the lower part of the drivers side and most likely because I park it on the street these days.

Had a camera kicking about so plugged that in and now its recording the front of the house.

Yes, I will for sure post it if I get it off the card, the face was off camera but someone will recognize who walked up and maybe the hand, out of the two its the only one that was the right length and actually locked in place so I would of preferred to lose the other one, but that was visible from the falls area where we all were, the passenger side was between our two vehicles, glad I locked the truck when I walked away now too as I had lots of electronics about and my wallet on the dash.

Never had an issue on the trails before, as you say for the most part everybody is respectful and will help each other out

Yeah that is BS... rule #1 is you don't f-ck with somebody elses rig on the trail

You guys figure it was the Jeep group that did it though? Was there anybody else out there?

There were some quads but didnt hang around.... Could have only been the jeepers...

They would have a jealous motive whereas a quader would have been simply envious....

 er.

You weren't in low? Why not? It's my opinion that you should be in low the second you hit the trail (air down) and it stays there all day until you air up. It's WAY easier on the transmission, motor, brakes, etc.

Sorry - what hood pin got stolen? For your bush guard at the airlift hooks? That's unbelievable!

I rode my bicycle to the plane crash site last year. 6 hours up, 2 hours down.... It's very cool. The route I took (I think the only route) had one difficult switchback, mud hole, rut jungle spot. Other than that it was a decent trail. I saw some quads and side by sides but no trucks on the trail.

I'm racing at The Ridge at the end of the month or I'd be there!

After that I'm prepping for the Moab Zombie Hunt in Colorado, New Mexico and Moab, Utah. The planning has gone exceptionally well - it's going to be wicked! I can hardly wait for the Moab trip........

So, my memory card is toast, tried all kinds of different readers, put it in my phone too and nothing works, Sandisk will replace it under warranty but they wont try to recover data. pretty peeved off about that as wanted to find out who it was.

No, I was in high and would change into low, with the H2 I would do the same, but that is much easier to switch from high to low.

yes, the one for the bush guard.

I went to the crash site at the end of june in the H1, there is only one route, its pretty open up until the last river crossing right before the difficult switchbacks, one of which is pretty deep and I winched to save chewing it up any further.
after that its pretty much a single uphill trail for about 3km with not many passing places, on the way back down a side by side needed some assistance and to borrow some tools.

do you do the Moab trips every year?

how many people would be up for a trip to the plane crash site?
