Do you presently have 12K axles??

If not, you need more than that to be able to install them!

yes 12k axles will not break as easy, but, what is the weakest part after that?? diff yoke, uni's or t case???  I still run the 10,3 shafts with 42 pitbulls. I have only destroyed one cv shaft on heavy off road usage.
Another thing to concider, who else in your group has these shafts in case you break one or two??

If you still want them ,check ebay and buy the complete set for about 500 U$.

If the U.S. military converted to 12k axles, brakes, and springs to deal with the weight of armoured hmmwv's. I would think the weak link in the drivetrain are the 10k axles? If your going to replace a set of 10k axles, why not upgrade to the 12k axles? I have never had any problems with the 10k axles either.

Yes they needed a heavier axle to haul the weight, but they have a larger pocket book to play with. Also needed, gears for the input side of the hubs, and a few more parts.
Keep us posted as what the overal cost is and what lets go when heavy off roading.
