Military Hmmwv

Post by drm »

I found out yesterday that the U.S. Gov. smartened up and instead of destroying the hmmwv's in its inventory. They are now selling them. They recently sold 26 at auction. The only problem you need an end user certificate, in other words you must be an American citizen. All bidding started at 10,000 USD. FYI.

go to "www.govplanet.com" lots of photos of the trucks for sale. Dont forget you must be a "end user". You must be an American citizen to buy one. no if ands or buts. Dont screw with uncle sam. its at least 5 years in the pen or if you get one dont ever return to the US. FYI.

Nice list humvees.
I know Adrian wants a 2 door. And there is on in Penn.
Adrian, if you see this, we need an American to use as end user address. Must be an American citizen.--for other buyers.

A) I am a US citizen so I can purchase these no problem, but I foresee issues trying to import them once they are purchased.

B) They will not come with a conventional title per se and are for off road use only so not going to be able to be made street legal that I can figure out.

Let me dig a bit deeper to see what the importation issues could be.

Cheers,
Jim

Am wondering if RIV would have to be involved at all if the vehicle is for off road use.  Have the importation forms here and will have to check it out.
