Hi, I am interested in purchasing an H2, but I just want to get some information from Hummer owners about their H2
My questions are:
How reliable is the H2 ?
I will probably buy a used H2, so from 2004 until 2007, which year is the most reliable ? or should I wait until next year for a used 2008 model, since the 08 model has a bigger engine, 6 speed tranny, and a stability control ?
If GM sold Hummer, do you have any info in regards to what will happened to Hummer owners in terms of warranty, service and parts ?
I have visited Roy Foss Hummer, and I felt that I did not receive a friendly service, so what other Hummer dealership do you recommend in the Toronto area ?
Thank you.

Re: Plan to purchase an H2
I have heard some good things about:
SATURN SAAB HUMMER ON THE QUEENSWAY ? 1652 THE QUEENSWAY, TORONTO, ON, M8Z1X1
Phone: (416) 253-5008
I am an H1 guy, so I have no comment on your other questions, but you will get responses from owners.

Re: Plan to purchase an H2
WIBS,
I am an H2 owner and I love the Hummer brand. I recently bought my H2 and I have loved it since the day I brought it home. Replacement parts are expensive at times if your need work done on the vehicle, but I have found mine to be very reliable. As to what will happen when GM sells the Hummer brand, I don't know. I am hoping Eagle will buy it back, but I am not holding my breath.
I am thinking of selling my H2 and buying an H1 (personal preference). There are many good guys on here who have had Hummers longer than I so you will probably get better information from them.

Re: Plan to purchase an H2
GM will ALWAYS service them!!! ESPECIALLY if under warranty!!!
LOOK at the interior of a 2008 and then the earlier models and decide which you like better.
IMO, PRE-2008 H2's just have a COOLER, Original look. The '08's interior look like my Escalade, the Tahoe, the Denali...etc.

Re: Plan to purchase an H2
Thank you all for responding to my questions....
According to the newspaper, they said that dealership have lots of large SUV and is just sitting on their lot, and they refuse to take large suv as a trade in.
But the price of a used H2 has not come down a lot, but I noticed that some dealership are starting to lower their price a little bit.
I am wondering if I can convince a salesperson to drive the H2 into my condo garage to see if the car fits, as a part of the test drive. I have to know if the H2 can fit, especially concerning the height, my condo max height is 6 feet 8 inches, and if I am not mistaken the height of the H2 is 6 feet 6 inches.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I had my sales guy let me take it home to see if it would fit in the garage beside our Escalade(we had a 2004 Escalade then).
Worst comes to worst, tell him it's a DEAL BREAKER if he won't!!
