Drive Thru Automatic Car Wash

Post by eebh2 »

Does anyone use the automatic car wash and will a hummer h2 fit? Just recently got my hummer and was not sure if they fit in these car washes?

I test fit mine once at a Esso station, the guy let me just drive through because he wasn't sure it would fit either. It fit in that one, but just barely, as a result the water jets were just to close to the paint for my liking.
I'm with Big_Dub on the paint finish.

I find it's more of a convenience , I don't find the touch-less really washes well. I good hand wash imo is best.

I know of one that pulls the truck through with a chain, my tires are too wide and once the tires are wet, it just pulls out and leaves me stranded.  The Petro Can ones seem to work just fine.

I normally just take my H2 to the local car wash where several people do the washing for me!

It takes them 20minutes with their pressure washers and hand sponges and then my H2 is all clean. It used to take me several hours! I gladly pay them $20 and I have one thing less to do!

I am far to tall for the automatic washes and the DIY coin ones just have you running like a crazy person!
