The ALBERTA chat thread!

Went to 'The Falls' on Sunday. Camped overnight on Saturday night 1/2 way there, finished the trip on Sunday. It was nice to get out there for the day. It was a 'No Moms' weekend for my buddies and their kids. Men are not great at keeping kids safe, but everyone had a blast. I'm pretty sure we brought all the kids back.

I only sold one toy, my Road Runner, I still have both Hummers and been working on redoing my garage and now an engine swap on my Defender.
 
Steve has his hummer back on the road.
 
A few people sold their Hummers that used to post here more often.

My H3T should be up on the selling block pretty quick as well, would love to get another run in with the crew down that way before I sell it but why rack up repair Bills before I sell it? It's already sucking my wallet dry with work being so slow. Looking at going to a Toyota 4runner or waiting for the new Titan XD with the Cummins 5.0l power plant to hit showrooms. If gm could have given me at least DECENT customer service I'd probably have kept it until it fell apart but when a dealership treats you as bad as I've had it they won't keep ANY of my business. Shame, I worked with most of them and we're pretty good friends with a lot of the people there.

We elected an NDP government...... I've been unemployed since the election.

They don't have a clue how business works. Not a clue.


If we elect the NDP federally we'll need to move to the U.S. to exist. They're that bad.


Ironically, although they raised my income tax by about 25%, and my business tax by 20% - they did find a way to reduce my overall tax bill. Being unemployed means no earnings, and no earnings means no tax!!! These dudes are pretty smart!


They'll deliver their first budget after the federal election (so they don't embarrass Mulcair before the election) and it looks like, among other things, a huge jumps in registration fees. Your Hummer will soon cost more to own, even if it's barely driven.

I did this a couple of weeks ago as part of the Moab event I organized. This was on The Snake in New Mexico. I could stand under the front tire while the rear is doing double duty.....
