With his tire hold down, drill a hole thru the end of the shaft to put a security pin thru. I have witnessed one tire leave the truck because the hold down screw can out.

Good idea Roy! I will do that as I agree the set-up is sturdy but looks vulnerable to the hold down bolt backing off. It would be devastating to have a 100 pound wheel come off and hit a vehicle in behind or some poor bugger walking down a sidewalk. Not the attention I or my H1 needs.

Ok guys the tire is finally on. Roy I see what you mean about the bolt backing off and releasing the tire to the wild. I have it secured with a cable to lock. I have to install my intercooler and things next so during that process, I will be trimming the long ears off the bolt and welding on a loop to secure it from turning at all.
