[attachment=4250:IMG_4188.jpg]Cooling stack with new fan clutch, fan guard, and a/c condenser is in today. New glow plugs and controller in. Brackets on for the intercooler. The pile of parts is getting smaller. Down to some shocks, gauges, fuel lines, and WW fluid tank, ECU....and of course the intercooler and pipes. Tomorrow the Evans coolant goes in.

I wish that was my shop Kev! My truck is in the Dealers shop. Capital GM here in Edmonton. Ex Hummer dealer. They let me help the Tech and hang around. I stop in almost every day for an hour or so. I will try and get down there tomorrow or Saturday for a few more shots before I head overseas Monday.
Tomorrow is the engine/cooling system flush and Evans waterless is going in. Hopefully the intercooler is on and the piping connected too.

The fuel system lines and selector valve replacement is going to be a bugger. The Tech said he is taking pictures and will continue to so we should have some to look over in January when I get back and pick up the truck.

I mentioned to him the advanced timing setting as well. I like the work this tech is doing. His mods on brackets and general skill/attitude is really good. He is enjoying the job and is positive and interested in what he is doing. Clearly looking at details that make it right and overcoming obstacles with skills.

Here is a few more pics of the I/C install. The truck is going back together well. The cooling system flush for the Evans waterless is underway now.

Thanks Monk,
The hood fit looks like it will be tight but ok. I measured/guessed yesterday. haha
I might have to raise it a hair to clear the pipes over the stack. No big deal though.

The evans coolant is an investment. I will be carrying a gallon for whatever leaks may comes along but It makes me nervous to lose most of it blowing a hose. I read you can add water to it for emergency and boil it off later but it would be a very pricey re-do to put the system back on evans after. The system runs at virtually 0 pressure so the hoses should last a very long time... that eases my nerves a bit.

Overall I have heard nothing but good about this coolant and how it performs internally removing heat from the combustion extremely efficiently leaving no blind hotspots that exist but we never see, with traditional glycol/water mixes.
It just seemed the right thing to do after dumping so much effort into the engine and auxiliaries.

I am enjoying the feedback from the pros on here and if any of this helps you or others later... that's the bonus for me.

More to come.

That intercooler is a super clean install! One of the best I have seen! It almost looks OEM! Love it!

You will love the Evans! And yes it is an investment, but well worth it!

Thanks Kev,

The truck is back together. The hood went on with enough room for the intercooler pipes and things apparently fit really well. The truck is running and they got the ABS working. He just replaced the relays and sorted the mess in the dash circuit board and lights.
One problem though... "When hard braking and the ABS kicks in the truck throws a P1125 code." (Accelerator Pedal Position System)

This happens with both the new PCU and the Original installed? Last I heard they were stumped. I am in Brazil and haven't had an update for a few days so I dont know if it is solved yet.

Is this the potentiometer on the fuel pedal knocked out of position, A loose connection or bad wire to the TPS, or something to do with the fuel pump timing? I would expect them to be able to figure this out pretty quick considering they have all the diagnostic tools and the MIGHTY GM network to lean on, but was feeling the $$$$ meter running at double speed when I was mailed about it.

Ever hear of anything like this Kev or Roy...or anybody?   :wtf:

Appreciate any thoughts or experience with this guys.

I would be very surprised if an APP sensor failed. In all my years working at Hummer and GM I only ever replaced one! I think they need to recheck the wiring since it happens on brake application and not throttle application. Possibly a loose ground or shorted wire. Just my thought but I am not beside the truck!
