Re: Which FUEL ADDITIVES to use?
One other thing I keep in mind when I buy any diesel fuel additives. I do not Use an diesel injection cleaner all the time as a cleaner cleans and keeps cleaning and cleaning, and cleaning and can result in premature wear. Look for a lubricant only and every 10000 kms or so use a cleaner for one tank. I was in northern Ontario and a service station guy put 20t of gas in a 6.5 lt diesel truck I had by accident. There was no garage around so I added 6lt of tranny fluid and never had a problem and put another 200,000 km on it till I sold it. JUST LUBRICATE THAT FUEL.

Bought the Lucas additive today and did a main tank fill and drove about 75kms. I'm not sure if it's in my head but engine seems to be somewhat quieter and less clatter noise. I didn't add any to the AUX tank so will do a comparison (although it's a biased study...I should have asked my wife to put the additive in either tank w/o telling me and I would have seen which tank ran better)

You will be happy. It's not in your head. You know your truck and heard right. It is great stuff. Cleans and lubricates that fuel injection system to keep your Hummer happily purring along and great piece of mind for you. That new injection pump will last you a long long time now.

Yup. Added insurance.
I guess it make sense. New diesel fuel has low lube properties (sulfur, cetane etc) so need to lubricate the injectors. It's running quieter today aswell (not as quiet as my bluetec mercedes diesel though..lol)
I will add to the AUX fuel tank aswell.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Looking forward to meeting you over the year on CHC meets.
