Paid Work for Humvee / H1 Owners - Military Simulation

Post by bravoonesix »

I'm conducting a military simulation in Prince Edward County, Ontario over the weekend of September 9th, 10th, and 11th.

I'm currently looking for military vehicles to provide transport for a number of participants (ranging from 50-150 people). This would likely mean multiple runs, including some late night/early morning transport requests.

This is a paid event, which means I have a budget to compensate individuals for:

- Driver's time (determined by owner/driver)

- Vehicle use (determined by owner)

- Fuel costs (actual)

- Transport to / from the site (if necessary)

- Accommodation (if necessary)

The requirements would simply be that you don't mind having a series of guys riding around in your vehicle, and don't mind being on a 'shift' overnight at some point. There's a preference for vehicles that are local to the area, tactical in appearance, or can transport more than 5-6 people. Hell, if you know anyone who might have a suitable vehicle, I'd be happy to hear from them.

I'm happy to provide more details, and am willing to negotiate regarding your fees.

You can reach me through the forum here, or by email: sean.arbuthnot

Thanks.

I think Serge has a military looking Hmmvw. The rest of us have bright shiny colors with the odd black or green one.
Not exactly the military look.If you had a wash off camo coating it would help achieve the right look
and open the door to more applicants.
You may be able to make use of your local DND who from time to time may participate in movies and the like.
Not sure of the process but worth looking into. Be nice to get a Duece & 1/2.

Thanks for the reply, greenmeanie.

I've got the call out to a bunch of deuce owners as well, but there's definitely a need for smaller vehicles to move small teams.

I'd be open to the brighter colours if someone is genuinely interested. While yellow isn't the best option, but I think people would get a kick out of riding around in one. I'm sure you can empathize with that. :)

One problem, no H1 can seat more than 3 adult passengers 4 with the driver. Only an H2 would have the possibility for 5-6 passengers.

Greenmeanie...
You know Jeroon over at Army Issue, don't you? :) If you need a reference check on me, ask him. Tell him Sean (Meta, Meat, BravoOneSix) sent you, and ignore ANYTHING he says about my relationships with animals! ;)

Sub..
I'll drop you a line! I'd pay to ship the vehicles to Prince Edward County in Ontario (it's just south of Belleville and Trenton). Not Prince Edward the province. Your M998 is extremely interesting.
