I wasn't able to find that flap. Where about is it? Pics?
Another thing I noticed is that just near that motor is another flap which is hooked to the vacuum system. What ever I sent my controls to that flap doesn't open. As an experiment I opened it and noticed more air coming though the vent then when it's closed so now I have it in the open position and now have more air through the windshield or feet or face vents

Also for heat, "on the feet"

I took off my two rear grill lovers ,and then removed the rear blower cover, and covered both the holes with duct tape, "for winter "

Then put the rear cover back on, without the louvres, as they as deep and would hit the tape,....(I put them n my garage for now)

Now the heat only wants to blow out of the two sides the aim to the floor and the hip grill aiming forward.

Soooo, on the drivers rear side I used a 2" flex hose "I'm sure 1- 3/4 would work) shoved/ Mcgyvered it on the drivers rear heat outlet, aimed the other end beside/between

Drivers seat and tunnel and it ends at my feet, over all about 40" length I used,

This way my dog does not get pure heat blowing on him "he sit in rear centre " , and my feet gets extra (wanted) heat from the rear blower now.

Felt super nice today,...as we all know the rear heater is WAY hotter

Come spring/summer I'll change back as lol then I want the cold A/C to blow on the dog, hehe

Also I should add , most for the N/A guys, our water pump sucks for gpm

Ours is like 85gpm, as compared to the year later they came high output @130gps pumps with the turbo motors,

More coolant flow = more cooling for your engine "for the hot summer days" ANDDD the water flows faster in the heater core, which should help with extra btu for hotter air for heating....,heehhe

I have soooo much I need to do this spring, (besides head "possibly" gaskets)

My timing chain is sloppy and I want to change, and then I want to add a

H/O water pump 4 bolt with a Kennedy diesel fan clutch that engages quicker (to keep our motor nice and cool) on the hot summer days,..

Seems many keep the single T-stat, so I'd try to see how it works like that...

Ok, also I'm a happy camper , I covered the hood grills top and bottom with cardboard , "just slide in between Louvre and mesh cage"

And my rear heat deflecting ,

Not sugar coating on a -20 day I had to shut off the heat, after say 20mins n the Hwy,....she got hot!!

That extra foot heat was great ,

I think if we had more air flow blowing on my non heated windshield I'd be very content .....who knows I might think of something small to mount in the stereo bucket on roof and electric with an semi decent cfm for defrost,

I covered only the hood grills and seems adequate for now. Let's see how winter unfolds. Cardboard definitely helps

Ok I'll get a cardboard and cover behind the fog lights aswell. Is it safe to assume that the coolant fluid (plus radiator fan) should be enough to cool the engine during the cold winter as natural airflow to radiators are obstructed.
