I figure now that Summer's coming, lol we're all gonna get hotter engine temps for longer times.....
Like I don't over heat BUT say going up long hills she gets fairly warm,
Has anyone ever put a windshield washer or mist spray type thing to spray over the rad?
So for hills or loads, you can spray and let evaporation help?
Or is this idea just not feasible ?
Currently I run an N/A motor but I'd bet turbod motor get darn hot with that extra boost...

Not sure that wood really work. Nothing beats a proper cooling system. Stored water at outside temps would not cool the rad down enough. I think the focus with these things would be aluminum rads and getting excess heat out of the engine. All though wxpensive my plans for future are 2 body lift to give more room for the motor to breathe, full exhaust and the aluminum rad. If i went crazy i would think of water injection.

Actually why not go see Roy and have him install the Snow Performance Water/Methanol Injection...your truck will never puff black smoke again and it will never run hot ever again!

Re: Mist spray?
I may be wrong. But I thought a friend mentioned to me that there was a silent recall for the H1.
I believe that two supplementary electric fans mount ahead of the radiator. It was free or cheap depending if you are covered by the recall. Check with the Hummer Parts Guy, I think that's who sourced his parts. Not cutting edge, but simple if its plug and play.

Re: Mist spray?
Haha, I bought 2 off him, about 5 years ago when they had a sale. (See , great minds think alike!)
Shockley one got wet somehow, (go figure as its sealed) and rusted the motor in a year ,he was cool about it, and replaced it free, and shipping,,.,
I'm sure they work, BUT I find they REALLY help for A/C coil they sit on, at a stand still I can "feel" the difference for cold air when they are on.......
Sometimes I wonder about cfm as compared to a good racing fan,...? I might check that out sometime
Long as fits in height I'd go for a big cfm'r
I know a member here "Boeing jet" has fans on the BACK of th rad, puller, lol but then was wondering about "free air space" with the fan as obstruction ....
Seeee, to much info, now I'll lay away tonight and think....

When I lived in BC I wanted to drive to Kelowna from the island , but was to worried about the mountains before there, not really speed, but the high temps, and lol some of those summits we're high...
Here is a pix of the fans btw, they don't seem to blow lots, well from the sound of it..hehe

Re: Mist spray?
So did those fans come with your H1 or did you add them yourself?
From what I have been told, and a bit of common sense, when you look at the shape of the trucks the aerodynamics aren't that great. The hood and windshield cause turbulence over the radiator intake and the air doesn't naturally pass through the rad as in a vertical front facing radiator. The faster you go, the worse the effect gets.
