Hi Roy

I do practice that. I bought the control valve anyway and will do the flush. I am skeptical of the flush as I cannot see anything blocking the cores that bad, but I have read a lot about that so it must happen.

Thanks for your help! I will get this.

When summer temps come and it warms up, I like walking around some auto wreckers, for odd ball things...

I think it's still called mikes auto wreckers on Stoney creek mountain.

Lol when I was blowing OPS switches weekly, I went there grabbed like 5-6 as didn't know why they kept blowing ...,

Finally figured was a bad pigtail,...

The front heater on our trucks are not the best at pumping out from the front, but ya seems many run into plugged front cores,...

But give it time, after some TLC your love it!!!

Not yet. I picked up my water control valve last night. I want to do the at the same time. Should be this weekend. I have a thumping noise right now i beed to deal with. I think its the rear drive shaft joints. Should have those changed tonight and do cooling on the weekend. Nice thing is weather is getting better and don't need heat! Lol

Only suggestion I can give with that, lol don't go to crazy when tightening to those plastic nozzles...

I just replaced my water valve couple months ago, cause it just broke on its own, the plastic itself.... Sucked...

Great news to update!

I know have heat. I finally got to the replacemnt of my t-stats, water control valve and heater core flush. Now it runs on at the 190 temp and plenty of heat.

I flushed the cores out for about an hour. One trick if figure out while doing it was to flush the lines out, add 3 or 4 onces of water (didn't really measure but just add a little) and blow it out with air. This allowed wayer and bubbles to clean out the lines beeter than just running water.

Nice to get something completed. Now back to the noise and glow plug or controler issue.

I was thinking of CLR but a lot of people said no. Alot said no worries. I didn't chance it as i think even the bottle sain do not use on copper. There must be s cleaning solution out there.

Not cool about the sickness. It is going around.
