Re: No heat issue
I truly think it would be fine to use it for an hour or so then rince really well. But wasn't ready to try it. I think it would be my last resort know that i was ready to change the heater cores and wanted to buy some time.

Re: No heat issue
you would think again, once you find out how much work is involved in the r+r of a heater core with ac.

What kind of time woild it take in an H1?
I have done a few in my day. I did a 2001 ram. The whole dash was almost out. That sucked!

Re: No heat issue
You'd figure (not just with our rigs) in general with car/trucks, they could have made the core more "accessible "
I had a friend (that had a shop) do my core many years ago, and lol he used the 4 letter word as common lingo for that job,
Even after I was leaving lol he didn't want to see that truck for a while, lol

Re: No heat issue
drain air cond..1/2 hr, cap off heater coolant lines 1/4 hr,, remove heater box..if all bolts are nice..2 hrs, remove heater core 1 hr. ,replace all and refill a/c 2.5 hrs. This is a general time not book. Heater cores are special as the 2 lines are about a foot long
