Anyone know if a 2000 should have a buzzer or somethjng to remind you that you have left the lights on?
How about someone that know whether you can set you key fob to unlock all doors with one push not two?

Crappy!
I am so used to my ram where i can't even lock my keys in because it is soo smart. I have left my lights on like 4 times already! Lol.

Re: Headlight reminder or door unlocks?
My 99 H1 has door chime which stays on if you leave the park/headlights on. I'm so used to the sound I rarely notice though. Since I went all LED I lost the DDL module and have to remember to shut the lights off when using the headlights in the daytime. Came out of many stores the first year and found my headlights lights on.
Now you have motivated me to get some resistors put in and re-install that module.
I read somewhere how to program the FOB for the door locks as I bought 3 new ones and when I did the learning process I also got rid of the Horn chirp and left only the light flash when locking the truck. I was pretty sure there was options for the locks as well. I will look back and see of I can find that article for you.
My 2010 H3 and Vette are idiot proof light and key wise but the H1 is not the way it is configured.... I am driving the vette more now that it's spring but the wife won't let me near the H3 unless it needs cleaning or repairing.
I'm surprised your 2000 doesn't have the chime. Disabled maybe??

Here is an article on programming FOBs and disabling the horn chirp.
http://www.flashoffroad.com/Maintenance/RemoteEntry/RemoteEntry.htm
Here is a schematic of your headlight/door chime circuit.
Here is the link to the available programming of the door locks.

I think we are unable to program the drivers door not to lock with the keys in ignition and the engine off, like the H2s and H3s. It has something to do with the door cycle. If I remember right, once you open the drivers door and the engine is off; when you hit the lock button all the doors lock but the drivers door unlocks again immediately. I managed to lock my keys in my H2 when it was running so I do know the ignition has to be off for that feature to work. (thank goodness for onstar that day)
And it seems 2 pushes for unlocking all the doors... I know, its a PITA.
Have fun....

Roy that's what happens when I am adjusting to a 16 hour time change from travelling.... I get up at a ridiculous hour and obsess over the threads on here. I'm glad you brought it up as the chime discussion reminded me to get my DDL sorted out. I just put in 2 new batteries last month. They were incredibly pricey and I dont want to ruin them by discharging with the damn headlights being left on.
Cheers Mate,
D

Re: Headlight reminder or door unlocks?
Thanks Derek! I will look into this. I do not have any type of door/lights seat belt chimes. Maybe some one pulled it out. Thanks for the info!
