I truly think it would be fine to use it for an hour or so then rince really well. But wasn't ready to try it. I think it would be my last resort know that i was ready to change the heater cores and wanted to buy some time.

you would think again, once you find out how much work is involved in the r+r of a heater core with ac.

What kind of time woild it take in an H1?

I have done a few in my day. I did a 2001 ram. The whole dash was almost out. That sucked!

You'd figure (not just with our rigs) in general with car/trucks, they could have made the core more "accessible "

I had a friend (that had a shop) do my core many years ago, and lol he used the 4 letter word as common lingo for that job,

Even after I was leaving lol he didn't want to see that truck for a while, lol

drain air cond..1/2 hr, cap off heater coolant lines  1/4 hr,, remove heater box..if all bolts are nice..2 hrs, remove heater core 1 hr. ,replace all and refill a/c 2.5 hrs. This is a general time not book. Heater cores are special as the 2 lines are about a foot long

Thanks Roy. That doesnt't scare me too much. LOL
 
I think it took me 8.5 hrs to do the Ram. With lots of swearing and cut up arms and hands! LOL
 
With heat now I think I am good!
