If you look carefully inside the side snubbers there was rubber packed in there to make it last longer but even those wore out.....hehe

What a difference is all I can say , I did not realize the hood was sitting really low until those new rubber snubbers were in, even a rattle noise that didn't really bug me (but was there) is now gone....

Only snag was that darn center rubber block for the hood. Wow she was a rusted

Mess.... Lol need special persuasion to remove those bolts

This is the after pic....what a diffrence

Then I ask royy for the rubber piece that goes around the intake stack...

Lol, he says which one and I'm looking at him sideways not knowing what he meant....hehhe

Apparently there's a seal that goes around the pipe and there's also a seal that goes on the physical Hood itself....which I didn't have any hood seal.... so I grabbed both of those seals looks nice now

On a side note about that top Center rubber block that was a pain in the butt,

Apparently it bolts to a steel plate underneath and it was so froze ,the bolts ended up breaking, well after had to grind the head of the bolts....then Roy to the rescue he machine me a new plate and tapped it, so the rubber block had a nice new steel piece underneath

Having a machine shop REALLY makes some jobs sweet

Well I put new snub bolts in today, and while I was at it, I replaced the rubber hold down latch bolts, (I'm sure very original as well)

Lol, THOSE were touch n go for a bit, soooo corroded / tight

Roy mentioned to tighten th bolt a little as well to , crack the bolt loose and after back and forth action she slowly unbolted,

Lol after wiping the beads of sweat off my forehead , I put a lube on the inside threads, and then anti seized dipped the bolts when

I installed the new bolts,

Lol , anti seize is a saviour at times....haha

I also ordered/ got window switch bezels for the back doors from Roy yesterday and installed those today as well..... My old ones were garbage

Don't you just love fixing a bunch of little things. Sometimes i like more that one big one. I have a neighbor with a 98 wagon. Says it is knocking badly. And he has stopped driving it. He is going to bring it by in the next few weeks for me to look at. Maybe a possible motor swap!
