Not that it is dead or anything, more so a wondering question....
but for the last bit I wanted to switch my WAter pump to the HO version...,
I have the 85 gph (factory) 4 stud
I would lIke to add the new acdelco HO pump 4 stud kind...rated at 130gph "came in the 97 to 98" then came the Balance flow pumps,,.,
Now, lol for the big question, does one NEED to remove the cooling tower to switch a Water pump?
How, long for a "rookie" to do, for a first time?
Mind you, while in there I might consider my timing chain,as well....plus it gives me a chance to "freshen" the front of the motor, as its higher in kms

Re: Water pump replacement for an NA?
You cando a pump with a few cuts by reaching in. The alum a/c bracket has to be removed.. drivers side to get to a couple bolts
