amplifier wiring help needed
Installing amplifiers to power sound system in my 96 hmc4. I was wondering if anyone knows a good hole location on the passenger side of the firewall to run 0 gauge wiring?

0? What kinda power ya running?
She's gonna thump!!
For smaller wires (maybe 0?) some run the wire in the rear heater coolant hose area, passenger side, where it enters the cab,..,
Orrrrrr, you can drill a hole below the ctis compress (firewall ) and the line is grab able, then you can plumb/pull under tunnel if your Amps in the back...
When a stereo shop did mine the first time , they pulled it threw the floor drain hole, wasn't impressed with that....they kept saying hard to find spots...but it wasn't bad to run into the coolant hose area...but was 4ga wire

Thank you very much for your help, I ended up feeding the wire through the heater coolant hose area, as you mentioned. There was an existing hole in the area, I carefully drilled the hole to bigger size. And I am installing 2 amplifiers; 1 for the speakers and 1 mono block for the subs. I am still debating whether I should install 2,3 or 4 subwoofers.

Good choice. My amp wire is as thick as your little finger and it ran through there fine.
Yes it will boom. My HMC4 has no road noise detectable at half volume. Haha.

Re: amplifier wiring help needed
I ran a 0 gauge cable which went to my cap and from the cap 4 gauge to my two amps. 1 amp is for my 2 x 12" subs and the other amp is for the other speakers. All my amps and speakers are Rockford Fosgate. I still have a third amp to install for the 4 speakers I want to install on the lower part of each door.
