Replaced my geared hub and upper A-arm.. . Dirty job!

Post by Monk »

I had a rust hole in my upper control arm,

And earlier on Roy noticed my ball joint hole was worn out basically on the hub.

So this weekend Roy and myself did the deed and replace the arm and a hub assembly with one of his babies he had in stock

I definitely have to say this was not a pretty job to do.

And Roy really knew his stuff, those two big nuts and bolts that hold the a arm were totally rusted in.

I wish I would have taken more pictures as we were removing the Hub but I was all into the job.

This is the new Hub with Roy putting the silicone on the steering arm part.

Also with the new steering arm

This mess was my arm,

If you look carefully at the left of the picture under the nut you can actually see the hole

Do you need to check the alignment after changing all those components?
