Hey H1 Guys, I just installed an Auburn Gear ECTED and it is AWESOME!!! When off it works like an LSD and with the flip of a switch a spool!!! I finished installing it this afternoon around 5pm and then headed straight for a nice off-road spot to really test it out. The H1 no longer required BTM with the switch off and it worked great for all but the really steep stuff. Then I went looking for some more challenging terrain that would require the Locker. I found a real nice twist ditch that forced some wheel spin and I llost traction and forward motion, flipped the switch and drove out!!! SWEET! Best part it all looks stock and went in in about 5hrs. I would highly recommend this to any H1 owner that has an older hummer and is tried of BTM or to one who has a 99 and up with the TT4...no more headaches!!! You could even use it if the front of a 2003 that already has the rear Eaton! I love it so much and am so impressed with the quality of the part and the overall performance that I wish I could get it for my H2 front and rear!!!

It works even better! I got a great deal thru Travis at RubberDuck4x4 and he had highly recommended it. I also installed a 2003 t-case with all the updated parts including the new seals and oil slingers. I may even install a front ECTED to match the rear one. Too bad it's not my H1, guess I'll need to get one of my own!

Re: Awesome New Offroad Parts
Not in Weir!!! Otherwise no more hummer!!!! The drops are huge one some of the trails and with ice and snow the could be deadly!!! BTW, I saw in one of the other post that you wanted to put your spare on the roof...bad idea! The spare will severely affect your center of gravity and could possibly cause a roll-over due to the extra leverage exerted by the spare on the roof! I would suggest a bumper mounted spare tire carrier like one from Predator http://predatormotorsports.com/h2tirecarrier.aspx at least it would help to stabilize your H2 in steep terrain. Just a thought!
