The parts I thoroughly enjoyed is even the bolts that had to go back on the water pump which were many different sizes royy let me figure it out I'm sure if I ever had to do this job again by myself I'm more confident now that I have ever been.
Do you ever notice at the end of a long job the last few pieces are always longest to go on just because you're tired and things slip and not go on well....lol like me fumbling with a lower water pump hose I swear that could have been a job itself on its own hehehe
Overall it was a great time there I learned a lot seriously, and thanks to Roy, I can drive my truck during Xmas holidays.. ..

Re: Water pump converted to HO now :)
Glad to be able to teach anyone to work on their trucks.I feel it better to have a source instead of trying it blind sided. Plus, if anything goes wrong, well, I have one large inventory of parts.
Good work there Tito. Hopefully your truck will stop giving you sore muscles and joint now!
Merry Christmas.

Re: Water pump converted to HO now :)
As far as I remember the Humvee pump and the H1pump run in opposite directions, so I assume I would not have the HO pump option available on mine. I agree, about the different size and style of bolts being tough to put back in the correct order. I took lots of pics coming off and have the manual for reference. Also some went into the block and some need thread sealant.
Nice touch painting it, I’m always to lazy and in a rush to finish.
Merry Christmas!

Re: Water pump converted to HO now :)
Unfortunatly (as far as I "guess") the HO pump is only available for the serpentine belt system,. As the v-belt turns the other way,..
Maybeeee just maybe someone like a Heath diesel might have done that?
Now if your motor temps are ok, I'd leave it,
You'll have to wait till summer now, as this weather keeps our baby's super cool...
Some do change, as it helps with head cooling "supposedly " more coolant flow. But you'll have to convert to the serpentine set up.. Not sure how the humvee generator would mount,..I read few peeps did with old 6.2 set ups in a 12v truck system...
Towards the back passenger head, some say the #8 area is the hottest spot,.. Hence those after market rear cooling kits...
Or the HO water pump convention ...
On a good note you have a super great block!! And I'm sure you'd have to shot it to crack....plus now with everything new, I bet the flow will be great now,...
I'm sure this summer, will be only sun glasses, and enjoying your truck now,....

Re: Water pump converted to HO now :)
The humvee pump was only used as a sample to show bolts and locations. You are correct in the rotation, but parts are located using non humvee directories
