The rebuild >>>>operation accident fix

Post by Monk »

Well, day 1

My rear drivers coil spring was also cracked on top,

So my buddy Roy decided to add insult to injury if you take a close look at the middle you can see what he did hehehe

But seriously very good idea now there's no pressure on this coil and I can take everything apart and I use the word I loosely

This is basically the front part of the truck, the hood is off and started to remove all the stuff because we are going to be switching the frame on the driver side

Now to remove the frame stuff, like the bumper the bush guard and everything also has to be removed and as per usual many bolts do not want to come out.

Hence Roy and his flamethrower hahaha

Upon some inspection, my steering arm that bolts onto the geared Hub was ovaled, when we looked on top of the geared Hub holes that was also ovaled.

And the reason why everyone should go to a Hummer place even stuff like my side view mirror he had in stock.

Honestly, I drive this truck daily and I already feel naked without it

But it couldn't be in better hands, so can't wait till to see my finished product

This is from the back looking forward while it's on the Hoist just before I left.

I had just read the other thread and I’m glad you are planning to fix it. Now you have a new engine and a new drivers side of the truck. Are you secretly trying to slip a whole new truck past the wife, one piece at a time?
