I did my fuel return lines yesterday ,
After reading not so positive reviews with "Doorman" lines (bad life span ) ,made in china
I decided to order the slip on covered lines, no clamp style.
The job is fairly easy (surprisingly)
It's a "guessing" 5 or 6 ft hose/line ,with cap ends.
You cut to size.
Driver side was a breeze, the hose you push on the injectors outlets and wiggle a bit so it slides right to the bottom , then lol it's tight,.
Now for the passenger side, you should remove the intake hose (no step) I was able to do th first 3 injectors from the hood area,
The back one (to far for me to reach) , I decided to pull/remove one side of my tunnel "just a little" , then I was able to reach the last injector, did that and the little end piece, tighten up tunnel.
Overall it wasn't bad job at all.
I guess on some the worst part can be removing the old line, but mines just slipped off easy.
In that case I guess an Exacto knife will work good.

Your truck is becoming “newer” every day Monk.
I found similar things when I did mine. Just huge amount of little detail stuff that’s cheap and easy to replace... while you’re in there.
We sure get to know all the little parts going through this don’t we. And so much of it is available commonly. In many cases upgradable to better or more modern quality as well.
Real happy here that your accident has had such a positive outcome for you and your truck Monk.

Re: Fuel return hose replacement :)
Thank you very much, you're correct even since I got it back. I'm always working on something minor here and there.
And drive around listening to every Creak and crack to make sure everything's all good.
Even today I wanted to fire up my condenser fan, to realize my one noisy one I had in the fall was super noisy now, and lol my other fan was seized solid.(rust inside)
They both lasted me about 6 or 7 years so I guess that's okay for the time frame.
So I removed them just so I can have better airflow while they are not operable
But I have to say with all the work I have done recently with Roy I'm very very confident when I touch stuff now

Re: Fuel return hose replacement :)
Well, lol on a unrelated note.
Today we smell smoke of something burning,
Radio then turned off by itself.
So when I get home I look under the hood to see this.
Glad nothing big came of it,
Sooooooo come tomorrow I'll need another battery, then re route a power wire.
Seems like while I was under her yesterday,
I probably push the power wire against the exhaust manifold or something.
She melted good.
Lol, my hands are cursed!! Hehe

Well, they can't say the return policy's is hard,
Lol, took those batteries in , showed the receipt and they replace the one (with hole) free, the other I bought just to keep them evenly fresh.
I had all these stories in my head and they didn't ask anything.!!
Hell the guy says ,it's been a few years since a battery came in looking this bad,.. Sooooooo
Short story, if ya even think you smell smoke /electrical stuff, check asap!!!!

Yes... close one Monk. Glad it didn’t turn out worse.
Darn good warranty from CT. Impressed they let the obvious little short that trashed the battery slide.
Good to get a break now and then.
