Winter tires

Post by radak99 »

Hey I just bought some stock 16" rims to use as winter rims and now I have to find winter tires.  Anybody have any suggestions?  I'm looking for maximum traction in deep snow and ice.

They are only going to be run in the winter.  Anybody have any good experiences in the winter with their tires???

I was thinking along those lines.  I was also considering something like the Nitto Mud Grappler too.  They look like they would kick ass in deep snow, but I don't know how they would handle ice...

I am kinda limited to what I can get at kaltire...

The nokians M/Ts and bf goodrich M/T KM2 are about the same price.  I've had nokians on my car before and like them so I was going to go with them.  I also like the look of the nokians better.

...the nittos are STUPID expensive so they are out!

True,

I buy a lot of things online, but with the dollar taking a hit it is harder to find a deal.  Also with tires I'd like to have a local shop I can go to for warranty work.

Do you know any Canadian tire shops with any deals that would ship to Sask?  I'm not completely agains ordering online.

we have a place here in Brampton, close to Toronto, called Tire World, check them out on Google, maybe they would ship to you, they have good prices.. also you could PM Hummbob, he is in Winnipeg, he may have some good contacts for out west...

Thanks for the input.  I'll check out tireworld.

We have a BF Goodrich shop but I went to talk to them and they seemed very disinterested in helping me out.  I don't think we have a Goodyear shop.

Maybe Humbob can help me get 24" rims and tires for the winter <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
