Re: Hummer Trivia Question #1
And the answer is the following:
Engine Size: 379.4 cubic inches otherwise known as a 6.2L diesel.
Transmission: 3L80 3 spd tranny, more commonly know as a TH400 or Turbo 400
Transfer case: New Venture Gear 242
Used exclusively as a drivetrain on the 92 and 93 model years only! After that only the Transfer Case continued on.
Bonus Question: These were the only two years were the batteries where located inside the truck and under the Front Passenger seat, they could be accessed only by undoing a latch on the rear of the rear and tilting the seat forward toward the dash! Not very convenient on a rainy day with a cranky passenger!!!
Good Job to all who answered! And the standings are as follows:
ROYS: 5 Points for the first completely correct answer.
dbot: 4 points for the second correct answer.
T.C. and njlondon: 1 point each for most info correct but not all.
Once again great job and now get ready for question number 2!
