Re: Winter Tire Law in Quebec and Hummers
HA HA HA HA HA HA I have my H1 wagon plated in Quebec but live in Quebec and Ontario. I have 38 1/2 x 16 1/2 Super Swampers on my truck. Does anyone think they'll pull me over to check?

Re: Winter Tire Law in Quebec and Hummers
Actually Markus, the Super Swamper should have an LT designation on the sidewall so you are good to go! And besides you could always 'escape' <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> by simply diving for the nearest snow covered field!!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' />

Wow, that is confusing. I guess I will have to pospone my trip to Quebec. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Re: Winter Tire Law in Quebec and Hummers
I think H1's are also exempt since the BFG tire is not recommended by BFG for use on the H1.
That brings up a second issue. If you can't be forced to use a non OEM tire, then everything up to around 2000 or 2001 would be exempt as they came with 16.5 rims even if you upgraded to 17" rims???

You're exactly right Dave, this whole law is very muddy when it comes to light and medium duty trucks! Guess the Government needs to do more homework!

Just too funny. I think I'll keep my 16.5 MT's on
Saturday I pulled out a snowplow from a ditch and today another car after almost getting stuck myself since there was a 4' drop.
