Sorry that I disappeared

Post by dwaxman1 »

Been a crazy few months.. But now I think I am back...actually I am...been doing a lot of work on my rig... also had a few issues..will need to post some photos.. this machine has truly evolved over this past year into a machine I am proud of..I just need to isolate the little electrical issue I am having that kills me when it is cold from starting easily....

Also changed head lights back to OEM for now until manufacturer was able to help resolve.. I just received a complete new kit from housing to ballast to all wiring and it has become plug and play..

I disconnected my remote starter and alarm and went back to OEM to validate if this was causing my electrical issues, this will need to be reconnected soon too....

But I will need to take photos from top to bottom, left to right, just so you guys can see it, lots have changed...Markus has been a huge help with me on this transformation and it will continue as I still have lots to add and redo..MORE lights for sure!!

Derick saw your ride at dealer when Rhino finally had a compleat encoder motor failure (may have caused transfer case /front diff failure). It had failed and self corrected for over a year.

Derek,

And here I thought you had implemented Stealth Technology into your Hummer to virtually disappear!!!!!  Glad to have you back and hopefully sanity has come back with you from the "crazy times"!  Have you resolved the minor electrical issues???  I have a "check engine light" issue that I can't make go away.  Might have to take it in for a diagnostic to have them tell me it was water in my gas or something like that.  Oh well, we'll see.  Great to "hear" you again on the forum....things were pretty quiet while you were gone.

Patrick... one of the best investments I did was buy a code reader... then you can look it up yourself and of course we can help you here too... as for the electrical issue... it still exists but only when it is COLD out, lucky it ahs been warm... Markus and I are going to PLan a HUMMER Get together at the Airport here in Toronto, a BBQ, and of course all kinds of other fun stuff... it will be coming soon and it would be nice to get 30+ hummers to show up.. no off roading just fun, chatting, BBQs, and story telling, maybe we can Raffle off some stuff and pass some knowledge... anyways Markus has lots of ideas.. we will post more details soon as we firm up times and an agenda!
