NAV screen smoking

Anyone ever have a problem with smoke coming out of the face of NAV screen where you load cd into cd player? Had to rip console out and unplug harness to ?nit to get it to stop smoking! Smelled horrible. Factory installed NAV not aftermarket

Had problem with wiring to heater fan motor had to have resistor and wiring to it replaced got short bursts of hot burning electronics prior to complete unit failure

:)Afternoon guys,,,,i started to think about this problem last week <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' /> . My cd dvd player screen pops up on startup and its right in front of the vents that  delivers very hot air to warm the H1 cabin, so last week once i pick either what cd , dvd  or fm station to play i always press the button to withdraw the screen back into the dash. It only makes sence that the electronics in the screen will heat up and fry !. ..Anyways thats how im dealing with it...tc...MUKWA
