front end noise
I have this mysterous tapping noise coming from around the front passanger side when i go over bumps. I cant figure out the problem. the noise sometimes seems to come from below the passanger area? the other day when i was in the snow and spun the tires when that front tire spun it really tapped loud a continously. does anyone have any idea?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />

Re: front end noise
Check your body mounts right behind the front wheel well, it has probably ripped and is allowing the body to move. I know from experience!
Hope this helps!

I would also check the bolts on the front skid plateand on the plate covering the transfer case.

Re: front end noise
I have so far change Upper balljoints, front shocks, stabilizer links, and pitman arm and other arm. According to tech there appears to be nothing else worn in front end. But the TAP noise is stil there somewhere near the passanger floorboard or front passanger wheel. I had the vehicle fully serviced checking all fluid levels and replacing frond end parts so i am thinking they must have taken off the skid pans plus i checked the bolts. I looked at the body mounts and they apear ok. any more ideas would be greatly appreciated. the TAP noise occures when the front end goes over a bump and comes down. it can happen on parking lot speed bumps or on highways with the frost heeve bumps. PLEASE HELP> (please not the torsion bars are cranked up)

Re: front end noise
It wouldn't hurt to liberally spray some penetrating oil on the torsion bar where it connects to the control arm?
