Factory H1 Warn Winch

Post by whitehumh2 »

To all of you that have been disgusted with the factory Warn winch shutting down just when you need it most, there is a quick solution that won't cost you anything! All you need is to remove the solenoid control pack cover and cut and seal the green wire that runs to the thermal cut-off. This was put in as per Hummers request but is NOT a Factory Warn Set-Up so you can cut it out and have piece of mind knowing that your Warn will now pull and pull and pull without letting you down and without damaging the winch! Cool Huh!

And yes this is approved by Warn! I was on the phone with them for a while!

Problem Solved!

Oh, and all of you that bought your Warn winches direct from Warn, no worries, they already eliminated this feature!! Super Cool!

Hope This Helps to keep you moving, instead of stuck in the Mud!
