Sunroof Wind Deflector

Post by duncanpa »

I have excessive noise from my sunroof wind deflector when driving 130 km + down the highway.  The mounting screws are tight, but the deflector seems to be loose at the corners and vibrates.  Anyone else experience this?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />  Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

I have heard of alot of people having excessive noise coming from the front roof line, top of windshield. The apparent fix for this issue is to remove the black plastic A pillars on the outside top corners of the windshield and put two sided tape or silicone on the area where they contact the top of the windshield. I think there might even be a dealer service bulletin about this problem. This is just a suggestion but a cheap fix if that is the problem.      Doug

I tried that, but it did the same thing at 140 and 150 <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Saw an item that Hummers are almost 5 times as likely to get a speeding ticket and has the top rate of speeding ticket must be you two getting caught over and over.

No speeding tickets in the Hummer as of yet; however, have been stopped a few times for officers to have a look..got stopped at the border so border officers could have a look as well.  In the US, me doing 130 kmhr is like standing still....most drivers in FL and GA are absollutely nuts about driving fast!!  I too read the same article and decided to drive reasonalby from now on....still have lookers though.
