Problem with door mirrors fold

Post by Lex »

Hello everyone!

It's a well known problem on H2 (especially befor 2006) - after some time side mirrors stop to fold.

I'm sure that some of you have expirienced this problem and hopefully solved it. Please let me know if there is a way to repair it without replacing a mirror.

I was looking (in Russia) for a small motor, which is intalled inside of the mirror or a separate part number for this motor, but...  :-

May be you know the way out?

Many of us, from Russian Hummer Club would appreciate for information!

I know the problem well! The biggest issue is dirt build up in the pivot, clean it frequently and keep it well lubed and you should have no problems. To completly correct the problem upgrade to the newer mirror that only pivot the head not the whole assembly!

Hello , guys!

Thanks for attention!

Do you mean that I can just order two parts- 15835056 lh 15835057 rh and replace my old mirrors?

Would I need anything else or just this?

well i'am thinking all you need are these new mirrors ,the service manual does't say that the bcm needs programing after replacement.I'am still looking into it.
